Louisville Coalition of Neighborhoods
 Advocacy Committee
 Minutes
 January 15, 2003

Present: John Baker, Co-Chair (Clifton), Theresa Stanley (BRAD),
Patricia Germany (California), Michael Baugh (SCAN), Cheryl
Harrington (Okolona), John Greathouse (Beechmont)

Approved by consensus the December 3, 2002 minutes as written.

The following recommendations are being submitted for membership
approval.

1.That LCON propose performance measures for Metro government
beginning with Metro Council representatives.  LCON members, and
other interested citizens, are requested to submit proposals for
Metro Council performance measures.
2.That LCON support the creation of Citizen Advisory Boards for each
Metro Parks operated community center.  This recommendation is in
response to problems at the California Community Center being open
for community activities (Patricia Germany) and the Wilderness Road
Club charging $50 per hour for neighborhood meeting space (Cheryl
Harrington).
3.That LCON support the enforcement of the Adult Entertainment
ordinance.  That a letter be written by the LCON Board to Irv Maze,
Metro Attorney, Hall of Justice, 2nd Floor, 600 West Jefferson St.,
Louisville, KY 40202 requesting aggressive enforcement of the Adult
Entertainment ordinance.  That LCON encourage neighborhood
associations, and others, to write letters of said enforcement.  Copy
of letters should be sent to Citizens of Metro for Property and
Safety & Security (COMPASS), 4012 Pinecroft Drive, Louisville, KY
40219 or email to www.scottcheryl@earthlink.net.

Theresa Stanley has accepted the Chair of the LCON work group on
Planning Commission policy and procedure reform.  This group will be
meeting at the Clifton Center (Clifton and Payne Streets) on
Thursday, January 30th from 6:30PM-8:30PM.  Contact Theresa at 425-3809 for more information

Adjourned.
